Park Management

Wirilda Environment Park is owned and managed in trust for the people of the Latrobe Valley by the Wirilda Project Association.  It is open to the public seven days a week from 9am to dusk.

The Association is a private, not-for-profit company.  It consists of Members and a Board of Directors who are elected from membership of the Association. All members are actively involved in decisions relating to the development and maintenance of the Park.

Currently the Board is headed by President Eugen Reichardt, Treasurer Darrell White, and Secretary Justin McKenzie.  Andrew Heriban, Arthur Aitken, Graeme Goldsworthy and the Latrobe Valley Astronomical Society make up the management group.

Grants are applied for when funding opportunities become available but Wirilda is primarily self-funded and is kept in trust for the people of the Latrobe Valley.

Ongoing projects being undertaken by Management are:

-

further development of the Education Centre

- further development of wetlands just below the Education Centre
-

planting throughout the Park
